ABC13’s chief meteorologist, told the newsroom Tuesday that he has decided to retire from his career as a broadcast meteorologist and begin the second chapter in life. HOUSTON (KTRK) — Our fearless leader is leaving the television news business after nearly 35 years on the air. ABC13’s chief meteorologist last day on-air will be Friday, January 11, 2019.
REPLACEMENT
Weeks ago, the TV station announced its morning-side meteorologist Travis Herzog will take over Heller’s spot as a chief meteorologist, according to the station. David Tillman will be the station’s chief forecaster, with Elita Loresca taking over Herzog’s post on weekday mornings.
