Angela Simmons Reflects On Her Ex-Fiance's Life
Angela Simmons took to Instagram Sunday morning (Nov. 4) to reflect on the life of her son’s father and her ex-fiance Sutton Tennyson.
“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift,” the 31-year-old entrepreneur captioned under a photo of Tennyson holding their son, Sutton Joseph Tennyson.
Saturday evening (Nov. 3), it was reported Tennyson was found shot to death inside his Atlanta home. At the time of this post, all those connected with the shooting have been identified and no suspects are at large. Atlanta officials believe Tennyson “was shot after a dispute between three people.”
The news of Sutton’s death came as a shock to the Growing Up Hip-Hop reality star and has left her admittedly “numb.”
“I’m hurting. I’m numb. Thank you for the outpouring of love everyone. I can’t believe I’m even saying Rest In Peace Sutton. I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise,” Simmons captioned.
Although Simmons and Tennyson called off their engagement, the businessman was an active father in his son’s life. Sutton reportedly served time in the Fulton County Jail for carrying a concealed gun in 2000. He also faced charges of credit card forgery, identity theft, drug possession before being released from the Georgia Department of Corrections.
In April 2016, Simmons announced their engagement. The couple welcomed their son five months later. However, shortly after Simmons revealed the two had parted ways.
No further details on Tennyson’s death have been made public at this time.
